It is the purpose of the Maintain A Healthy Police Force mission to gain community support, provide adequate police training and insure community members and law enforcement personnel  go home alive, every day. Over a couple postings, we will be showcasing many points along with those mentioned above that we feel are necessary. 

Police reform needs to go hand in hand with Community reform. You cannot have one without the other. We have developed 8 hour shifts, getting away from the 12 hour shifts popular as a budget cutting tool. We have put together a plan for mixed race and gender law enforcement partners, patrolling based on community ethnicity. Research of taser and other non lethal options without the officer fearing repercussions. These are but a few of the points we would like to see implemented within the law enforcement community. Stay tuned as our model progresses.

One of the major objectives of the Grow Strong Communities mission is to gain the trust of the police. We also feel parenting classes, organized events, formation of “zones” and identifying community leaders, getting involved with law enforcement to remove potential bad influences, significant reform of “positive reinforcement” , and gang member control are all also important to the growing of our community. We have many postings going forward along with those listed above, that will be highlighted. 

The education system as it exists needs major reform in itself. In order for us to provide education for all, we need to evaluate each individual student. Not everyone is the same. We should be administering aptitude tests to determine where individual interests are and where their strengths are. We absolutely have to get rid of the positive reinforcement incentives. 

We absolutely need a solid parenting class, not this totally useless one we have now. Some of our kids will become law enforcement, teachers, accountants, etc, but most will become parents. We have health classes, include parenting as a requirement for graduation. 

We have a dozen points to bring to the table under the education mission. They will be brought forward as our model progresses. 

School vouchers/school choice, why don’t we have that?? A lot to discuss.

This is by far our largest mission. We have identified over 20 points to consider for discussion. We feel it is necessary to put better leadership in place in order to achieve the rest of our mission. Everyone’s money is green, and we cannot continue to throw tax money at a problem without any success. 

Gang related crimes need to be brought under control. We were able to get the mafia under control in the 70’s and early 80’s. We should be able to use the same statutes to bring our gang related mess under control.

 It is necessary as we will show in other areas of our mission to raise police budgets, not cut them. 

Federal charges for any “out of town” rioters that are looting. In other words, we have created a “professional rioter”  that travels from town to town whenever there is unrest. These individuals need to come under federal jurisdiction, or our state and local leadership needs to be changed.
